A comprehensive dental exam with be performed by your dentist at your initial visit to our office. This new patient exam and regular check ups will include:
Diagnostic X-Rays – These are essential for detection of all types of oral pathology including decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss.
Oral Cancer Screening – The doctor will check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, gums, and x-rays for any signs of oral cancer.
Gum Disease Evaluation – We will comprehensively examine the gums and bone surrounding teeth for signs of periodontal (gum) disease.
Tooth Decay Examination – All tooth surfaces will be checked for decay and diagnosed for restorative procedures in conjunction with dental x-rays.
Existing Restoration Examination – We will examine any existing fillings, crowns, dentures, or any other restorations you may have for functionality and esthetics.
Professional Dental Cleaning – Teeth will be cleaned of plaque and calculus (tartar), flossed, and polished.
